Description
What kind of wine it is
Champagne Fosse Grely Brut Nature by Ruppert Leroy is a Traditional Method zero dosage Champagne. This blend combines Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, offering a dry and vibrant experience. On the palate, it is rounded, with a long finish and notes of citrus, quince, peach, mint and liquorice. Its structure, free from added sugars, makes it ideal to pair with lean fish, starters and cheeses.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from Essoyes, in the Champagne region, where Ruppert Leroy cultivates his own vineyards following strict biodynamic principles. The area is characterised by a clay-limestone composition with a predominance of red clay, which imparts minerality and tension to the sip. The artisanal approach fully enhances the terroir of origin, maintaining a perfect balance between freshness and fullness of flavour.
How it is produced
Production strictly follows the Traditional Method, beginning with fermentation and maturation in barrels for nine months. Afterwards, the wine rests during lees ageing for about eighteen to twenty months, acquiring a refined tactile texture. Disgorgement takes place without the addition of dosage syrup, preserving a dry, precise and persistent Brut Nature character.
