Description

Prosecco Valdobbiadene Quartese Brut is a white sparkling wine with Controlled and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG), produced from vines grown in the northern part of the Marca Trevigiana, in the DOCG area that extends from Colle Umberto to Valdobbiadene. Prosecco Valdobbiadene Quartese Brut from the Ruggeri winery is a fragrant, delicate and elegant sparkling wine, a type of sparkling wine that boasts the Superiore designation. This white grape is grown on drained and well-exposed soils, with classic cultivation and planting techniques, therefore, as required by the regulations, without forcing. Prosecco is the product of a 100% Glera blend. Prosecco is produced using a white wine vinification process, that is, without the skins, at a controlled temperature of 16°C. The harvest takes place in September. After careful selection of the ripe bunches, the grapes are destemmed, pressed, and drained to completely eliminate the pomace. This is followed by clarification, decanting, filtration, and centrifugation, followed by fermentation of the grape juice and racking, which separates the wine from the lees. This is followed by the second fermentation, which occurs through a slow second fermentation of the wine in large, closed containers at a temperature ranging from 14°C to 15°C. The result is a stylish, elegant, highly aromatic, and well-balanced sparkling wine. An ambassador for the winemaking of the Valdobbiadene region, Prosecco is a highly successful wine product both nationally and internationally.

Five generations of the Bisol family have shaped the development of a business that has a deep understanding of the future.

Ruggeri’s roots stretch far back to the nineteenth century, to Eliseo Bisol, who, along with his son Luigi was one of the first winemakers in Valdobbiadene. The business’s significant growth began in 1950 when Giustino Bisol founded the current winery with his cousin, and it was his surname, Ruggeri, that was chosen as the company name. The unswerving commitment to excellence continued with the work of Giustino’s son, Paolo, and granddaughter Isabella.

Since 2017, Ruggeri has been part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm Group, a highly fruitful partnership which has paired our shared visions, trust in common values and a mutual commitment to ever higher quality standards.
