Description
Still white wine from Collio, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 13.5% ABV, produced by Renato Keber. 100% Friulano/Sauvignon Vert, 2016 vintage. A wine born from Renato Keber's passion for secondary and tertiary aromas, a tribute to the Zegla area, where the Keber family has been producing wine for four generations. Manual harvest with careful selection, in the last ten days of September. Maceration of the skins for 6-12 hours, soft pressing. Cold decantation. Temperature-controlled fermentation. Aged on the lees for 12 months. Pleasant, reminiscent of wildflowers, ripe fruit, almonds, and walnuts. Dry and soft, with a pleasant complexity and an almondy aftertaste.

Pairings
The gently curving hillside called Zegla, close by the border with Slovenia, has long been home to Renato Keber and his family. Renato’s great grandfather, Franc, came from nearby Vipulzano to settle here in 1900, when this was still under Austrian rule.
Since then and for four generations, the Keber family has lived and produced its wine in Zegla, and even today, the older generations join the new ones in working in the vineyards. Read more
