Description

A still red from Veneto, Valpolicella Superiore DOC, 15% ABV, produced by Pasqua Vigneti e Cantine, 2015 vintage. A wine that celebrates Veronese tradition, with aromas of tobacco, cedar, undergrowth, and balsamic notes. The grapes are carefully hand-picked and selected. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 20-22°C. The next step is maturation in 500-liter barrels and 225-liter French oak barriques (primarily new or second-use) for 18 months. The palate is warm and intense with aromas of morello cherry, clove, and coffee, along with fine, rounded tannins. It is assertive, with great acidity, and a long, persistent finish with spicy notes.
