Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature Avizoise is a creation of great structural precision by Agrapart. Made exclusively from Chardonnay using the Traditional Method, it stands out for its lack of dosage, which ensures a dry, taut and vibrant profile. To the eye, it displays a straw yellow colour enhanced by golden highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. The bouquet weaves together elegant fruity and floral aromas with light hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is fresh and deep, ideal for accompanying refined starters, shellfish and mature cheeses, served at an optimal temperature between 6 and 8°C.

Where it comes from

This wine originates in France, in the heart of the renowned Côte des Blancs, within the Champagne region. The grapes are carefully selected from the Grand Cru classified villages of Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry, an area characterised by deep chalky soils that give the wine an unmistakable expressive clarity. Agrapart cultivates sixty-two vineyard plots with historic vines, many of which are over forty years old. The management of the vineyards follows a strict biodynamic and sustainable approach, aimed at preserving the vital balance of the soil and the purity of the fruit.

How it is produced

Production follows the principles of the Traditional Method, with the traditional prise de mousse and subsequent ageing in the bottle. The chosen style is Brut Nature, which excludes the addition of sugars in the final dosage to enhance the dryness and verticality of the sip. This meticulous process allows for a harmonious and structured Blanc de Blancs, with remarkable ageing potential over time. The result is a Champagne that faithfully reflects the characteristics of Chardonnay, offering a complex, energetic and defined tasting experience.

Company founded in 1894 in Avize, in the heart of the Côtes des Blancs, by Arthur Agrapart. The Agrapart company is located in Avize and its vineyards, which cover 9.75 hectares, mainly in Oger, Cramant, Oiry and Avize (all Grand Crus of the Côtes des Blancs).

This geographical situation, in the heart of Champagne and in the villages classified as "Grand Cru" is exceptional. The chalky soil, specific to the Côte des Blancs, creates the ideal conditions for the Chardonnay vineyard and brings freshness and elegance to the wine. Composed of 62 plots (some are over 60 years old), the average age of the Agrapart vineyards is around 35 years.
