Description
What kind of wine it is
Palmes d’Or Rosé Brut by Nicolas Feuillatte represents the prestige Champagne of the house, characterised by a clear and intense aromatic profile. To the eye, it reveals a silky texture, enhanced by a fine and light perlage that creates a compact mousse. The bouquet expresses aromas of red and black fruits, including wild cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant, accompanied by hints of blood orange and spicy notes of cinnamon, vanilla and liquorice. On the palate, the elegance of Pinot Noir is revealed in a full and balanced sip, where freshness leads to a long and persistent finish in perfect Brut style.
Where it comes from
The origin of this wine lies in the Champagne region, reflecting the richness of the French terroir. The grapes come from a meticulous selection in the vineyards of Bouzy, renowned for their Grand Cru classification, and from the renowned area of Les Riceys. This blend gives the glass a unique expressiveness and remarkable structural depth. Produced in Chouilly, the character of these areas emerges clearly, enhancing the qualities of the grape variety to offer a rosé with a strong personality, true to the region’s historic vocation.
How it is produced
Production follows the strict rules of the Traditional Method, using the rosé de saignée technique. The process involves a brief maceration on the skins to extract the bright copper-pink colour and a solid phenolic structure. After fermentation and the prise de mousse, the wine rests on the lees for a long ageing in the bottle that can last from six to ten years. The result is a sip with a velvety texture, dominated by notes of ripe fruit and sweet spices, with a fine effervescence that completes its sensory profile.
