Description
What kind of wine it is
Morabianca Irpinia Falanghina by Mastroberardino is a still white wine made entirely from Falanghina grapes. Characterised by a bright yellow colour with subtle greenish highlights, it reveals an intense bouquet of tropical fruits, apple, peach and citrus, enriched by delicate floral nuances. On the palate, it offers a lively freshness, supported by an acidity that perfectly balances the overall structure. Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with seafood salads, shellfish and fresh cheeses, expressing its best when served at a temperature of 10–12 °C.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from a single vineyard located in Mirabella Eclano, in the province of Avellino, at the heart of the Irpinia Falanghina area. The rows grow at an altitude of 400 metres, enjoying a south-west exposure that ensures ideal sunlight. The soil, of silty-loam and tuffaceous nature, gives the wine a significant mineral contribution. These Campanian pedoclimatic characteristics translate in the glass into a pronounced gustatory tension and a clean, well-defined sip.
How it is produced
The espalier training system with Guyot pruning provides a density of four thousand vines per hectare to ensure balanced, high-quality yields. Harvesting takes place towards the end of October, guaranteeing full aromatic ripeness of the bunches. Vinification is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, a choice aimed at preserving the integrity of the primary aromas. This is followed by bottle ageing for three or four months, allowing the sensory profile to stabilise and develop before release.
