Description
What kind of wine it is
Madame Martis Brut Riserva by Maso Martis is an outstanding Trentodoc produced using the Traditional Method. This blend combines the elegance of Pinot Noir, the softness of Meunier and the intensity of Chardonnay. It displays a straw yellow colour with golden highlights and a fine, persistent perlage. The fragrant bouquet reveals notes of pastry and toasted bread, enriched with citrus, exotic fruit and flowers. On the palate, a lively mineral vein gives depth and savouriness to a creamy and balanced sip.
Where it comes from
The cuvée originates in Trentino-Alto Adige, specifically on the hills of Martignano, an area renowned for viticulture. Production within Trentodoc ensures meticulous selection of the grapes and an identity closely linked to the altitude of the region. The soils impart a distinctive gustatory tension and marked freshness to the wine. Thanks to its clear profile, this limited edition excellently enhances raw seafood and refined fish menus, expressing itself best at a serving temperature of 10–12 °C.
How it is produced
After manual harvesting, the whole bunches undergo gentle pressing. The grapes ferment separately: Pinot Noir and Meunier in steel tanks, while the Chardonnay must matures in barrels for about eight months. The blend is then prepared to start the second fermentation in the bottle, as required by the Traditional Method. The long eight-year maturation on the lees gives the cuvée extraordinary aromatic depth. The process ends with remuage and disgorgement, integrating the Brut dosage that defines the wine's final character.
History and Curiosities
The Madame Martis Brut Riserva 2015 is a rare Trentodoc cuvée produced in a limited edition, ideal for enhancing raw seafood dishes. This exquisite Traditional Method wine combines the elegance of Pinot Noir, the complexity of Chardonnay aged in barriques, and the softness of Meunier. Its harmony is the result of a long maturation on the lees for eight years, which gives it an extremely fine perlage and complex pastry notes. On the palate, it reveals an extraordinary softness combined with a vibrant mineral savouriness, for a magnificently creamy sip.

Ever since the beginning we dedicated our activity almost exclusively to the art of producing classic method sparkling wines: a real challenge to face at that time, as this type of product from Trentino still had not achieved the reputation of high quality as it has today with the brand TRENTODOC.
We live in a house located in the heart of our vineyards and therefore for us the transition to organic viticulture was the natural consequence of our way of life that focuses on life quality.
Maso Martis is situated in Martignano at the foothill of Mount Calisio (also called Argentario) above Trento, 450 m above sea level: a mountain terrain that was cultivated as early as the end of the 800, and is well exposed and caressed by the mountain breeze. Read more
