Description
What kind of wine is it
Maso Martis Trento Dosaggio Zero Riserva is an organic sparkling wine that faithfully expresses the essence of its territory. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it harmoniously blends Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. A true expression of the Trento area, it reveals aromas of almond, hazelnut, pastry and sweet spices. On the palate, this zero dosage is dry, mineral and full-bodied, supported by vibrant acidity. The harmonious finish, enlivened by a fine perlage, makes it ideal for raw seafood, oysters and fine cured meats.
Where does it come from
The Maso Martis vineyards are located in Martignano, at the foot of Monte Calisio, at an altitude of 450 metres. Here, the vines benefit from an ideal microclimate, refreshed by mountain breezes that are essential for preserving the aromatic freshness of the grapes. The agricultural management follows the Guyot system under organic farming practices. Maintaining a low yield per hectare ensures rich and concentrated grapes, a fundamental prerequisite for obtaining a glass with strong identity and marked longevity.
How is it produced
After careful hand harvesting, the whole bunches are gently pressed. The Pinot Noir is vinified in steel, while the Chardonnay matures in wooden barrels for about eight months. Once the blend is created, the typical bottle refermentation of the Traditional Method begins. The wine undergoes a long maturation of at least thirty-six months on the lees, culminating in manual riddling and disgorgement. The absence of liqueur d’expédition preserves a dry and purely mineral profile.
History and Curiosities
Founded in 1990 in Martignano, the Maso Martis winery produces this fascinating organic Traditional Method sparkling wine, the prestigious Trento DOC Riserva 2021. The carefully crafted cuvée combines the structure of Pinot Noir with the elegance of Chardonnay, the latter enhanced by a period in barrique. Thanks to a long and patient ageing of at least 36 months on the lees, together with a disgorgement strictly without added sugars, a Dosaggio Zero of rare purity is born. Dry and with pronounced minerality, this wine envelops the palate with great harmony, perfectly enhancing raw seafood dishes.

Ever since the beginning we dedicated our activity almost exclusively to the art of producing classic method sparkling wines: a real challenge to face at that time, as this type of product from Trentino still had not achieved the reputation of high quality as it has today with the brand TRENTODOC.
We live in a house located in the heart of our vineyards and therefore for us the transition to organic viticulture was the natural consequence of our way of life that focuses on life quality.
Maso Martis is situated in Martignano at the foothill of Mount Calisio (also called Argentario) above Trento, 450 m above sea level: a mountain terrain that was cultivated as early as the end of the 800, and is well exposed and caressed by the mountain breeze. Read more
