Description

La Serra, or rather the other side of the Marcarini Barolo production, comes from a historic area of ancient origin whose soil, lacking organic substances but rich in mineral salts and microelements, is capable of giving wines good color, structure, and flavorful but never excessive tannins. The particular microclimate is characterized by a slight ventilation with the circulation of fresh and dry air.

To better understand Marcarini Winery, one must look beyond its most contemporary aspects such as its modern vineyard and vinification equipment or a growing international market: one must examine its history and traditions. Today, as yesterday, Anna Marcarini Bava, with the collaboration of her daughter Luisa and son-in-law Manuel Marchetti, manage the family vineyards with passion, producing wine according to the most rigorous Piedmont and in particular Langhe tradition. This is the Marcarini Winery: its proprietors, vineyards, wine cellars, wines and history. A history made by intelligent choices and hard work, by technique and intuition, lived far away from the spotlight: a history for a passionate few, for friends who yearn for things made well and with heart. At La Morra, where the vine has since time immemorial dominated over other cultivations, the winemaker’s ancient spirit is revived daily, with the noble goal of capturing quality perfection in each of his wines.
