Description
Still red from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 14% ABV, produced by Livio Felluga. 100% Merlot, 0.75 L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Merlot that embodies the tradition and excellence of Livio Felluga, a wine that promises an intense and satisfying sensory experience. In Friuli, and now beyond this land renowned for its people and wines, Livio Felluga represents the finest winemaking tradition. A long-standing tradition of love for wine that has endured in the family for six generations. The grapes are delicately destemmed and crushed. Fermentation occurs with maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. Frequent pumping over is performed for approximately three weeks to extract color and aromas from the skins. Aged for 12 months in stainless steel and small French oak barrels. Intense and energetic character with a hint of crispness that intrigues. The whirlwind of sensations begins with fruit and flowers: blueberry, geranium, black cherry, cyclamen, blackberry, clove, raspberry, orchid, currant, plum, fresh potpourri, lotus; and evolves with spices and balsamic notes: white pepper, vanilla, licorice root, coriander, mint. Bright ruby red. A perfect balance of sensations and aromas, with a pronounced presence of red fruits, black cherry, white cherry, raspberry, and plump flowers, making it juicy and stimulating on the palate. Enveloping on the palate with a pleasant astringency that adds vivacity. Toasted and spicy notes linger in the finish, which lingers with balsamic notes.
