Description
Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC, organic still white wine, 13% ABV, produced by Le Vigne di Zamo. 0.75 L bottle, 2023 vintage. A Sauvignon made in Manzano, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, from grapes grown with passion and respect for nature. The company, founded in 1978, has cultivated the land for centuries, using methods that are attentive to sustainability. The grapes are destemmed and statically macerated overnight in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by nitrogen pressing and temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation. The wine remains on the lees for eight months before being bottled. It releases aromas of honeysuckle, gooseberry, pink grapefruit, blackcurrant leaf, mint, and mallow, with subtle notes of peach peel. Fresh and savory on the palate, balanced, with moderate aromatic intensity and a discreet persistence.

The company is fortunate to draw from three different terroirs that give the wines different and unique characters and personalities. The Zamò family has been cultivating the land for centuries: first the grandfather, then the father and finally the sons, all united under the same goal: cultivating the land and making wine as a sign of civilisation and respect for their origins and traditions,
In addition to great white wines, including Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, the company focuses on red wines to maintain the indigenous grape varieties and to pursue new projects and innovations. For years, the Zamò family has been conducting cultivation with sustainability-conscious methods, and in 2021 they obtained the first Certified Organic grape harvest. Read more
