Description
A still red from Tuscany IGT, 14% ABV, produced by Le Macchiole, another gem of Bolgheri. 100% Syrah, a wine that expresses the complexity and intensity of this grape variety. Medium-textured clay soils with alluvial gravel and limestone fragments. Double spurred cordon, Guyot training system. Harvest: 2nd-3rd week of September. Fermentation and maceration: approximately 20 days. Aged: 14-16 months in 225-liter barriques. Deep, intense ruby red color. On the palate, it is rounded, with acidity blending with sweet tannins. Hints of mint and eucalyptus. Very persistent balsamic notes.
