Description
Still red wine from Burgundy, 13% ABV, produced by Jean Fournier, a family that has been present in Marsannay since the 17th century. 0.375 L bottle, 2023 vintage. A Pinot Noir that expresses the essence of the Marsannay terroir, with a winemaking process that enhances its finesse and elegance. Hand-picked into small 15 kg crates, with rigorous selection in the vat room. Vinification using 33% whole grapes, moderate punching down and pumping over. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aged in 600-liter barrels (demi-muids, approximately 15% new wood) for 12 months, then 5 months in stainless steel tanks.
Awards
It was much later, in 1962, that Jean Fournier settled as a winegrower in his native village. Today, his son, Laurent, is at the head of an exploitation which covers 22,5 hectares on the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. Read more
