Description
Still white Soave Classico DOC, 12.5% ABV, produced by Inama, 2022 vintage. 100% Garganega. A Soave Classico that expresses the purity of the fruit and the typical characteristics of the terroir, with a history dating back to 1965. The label features a scientific study of the lunar eclipse, a rather rare event, yet visible to the naked eye. Vinification involves destemming and a "non-reducing" process, without the addition of SO2. The grapes macerate on the skins for 8 hours. Aged for 6 months in barriques and large barrels, then in stainless steel. The palate is a succession of fresh and savory sensations, featuring white flowers and notes of cedar with hints of flint. A wine that pairs perfectly with fish dishes, delicate first courses, and fresh cheeses.

| Story | The label shows a scientific study of the lunar eclipse, a rather rare event, but visible to the naked eye. The moon may be eclipsed in the presence of the sun when both appear close to the horizon. The earth, being in the middle between the sun and the moon, casts a cone of shadow that obscures the satellite. When the moon is entirely in the cone of shadow, it is called a total eclipse. When it is outside the cone of shadow, it is called a partial eclipse. The drawing is taken from an engraving in the London "Universal Magazine of Knowledge and Pleasure" Vol. XXXIV of 1764, a monthly magazine of art and science intended to be instructive and entertaining for "nobles, merchants, peasants and businessmen". |

| Wine making | Once the grapes arrive at the winery, the bunches are destemmed and then processed using a "non-reductive" method, without any addition of SO2. The indigenous microflora develops and gives its character to the must. Eight hours of skin maceration optimised this process. Only the first must is selected. After a 24 hours of static settling, it is racked into first and second-passage barriques (60%) and large casks (40%), where it completes its alcoholic fermentation by using neutral selected yeasts not to affect the wine profile. |
| Aging | Ageing lasts 6 months, during which bâtonnage is carried out periodically, and then the wine is transferred into stainless steel tanks. This Soave Classico "I Palchi – Foscarino Grande Cuvée" is bottled in November and refined other 6 months before being marketed. |
