Description
Still red Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, 15% ABV, produced by Il Marroneto, 2020 vintage. A Brunello born from the passion and tradition of the Mori family, who have been producing excellent wines in Montalcino since 1974. Aged in 2.5-ton oak barrels for 41 months, this Brunello opens slowly, with aromas of watermelon, old rose, a blend of aromatic herbs, tamarind, and cumin, resting on a hint of cedarwood and lavender. Ruby red in color with the first hints of garnet. On the palate, it is pulpy and alcoholic initially, then becomes severe, savory, and fresh, with tight tannins marking the finish; a beautiful floral and earthy finish. A wine that best expresses the Montalcino terroir, ideal for pairing with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
