Description
What kind of wine it is
Blauburgunder Hausmannhof by Haderburg is an organic red wine, a pure expression of the Pinot Noir grape variety from the Alto Adige region. On the nose, it develops intense aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry, intertwined with elegant hints of liquorice, vanilla, toast and bitter orange. On the palate, it offers a rounded and full-bodied sip, characterised by excellent balance, ensured by the synergy between the freshness of the fruit and a pleasant structural softness.
Where it comes from
The grapes are grown in the hamlet of Pochi, above Salorno, on the slopes overlooking the Adige Valley. Here, the Pinot Noir vines sink their roots into limestone and clay soils, at an altitude between 350 and 550 metres. This area boasts ideal climatic conditions that favour the growth of healthy, aromatic grapes. The distinctive mountain terroir gives the wine a clean profile, enhancing a well-defined fruity character and a vibrant freshness that lingers on the palate.
How it is produced
Production is based on a rigorous commitment to ecological sustainability. The must ferments in steel tanks, a deliberate choice to preserve aromatic precision and the clarity of the fruit. Afterwards, the wine rests in the cellar, undergoing maturation in barrels for twelve months. This measured period in wood integrates spicy notes without ever overpowering the grape's identity. The entire process is marked by great artisanal dedication and careful manual work, ensuring the highest quality at every stage.

In the mid-1970s, we made the daring transformation from being a fruit-growing farm concerned only with the production and sale of grapes and apples to a winery which processes its own grapes. Since that turning point, our enthusiasm for good wines and champagnes has set the tone for the work in the vineyards and in the wine cellar. Read more
