Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Premier Cru Blanc de Noirs Bossa Nova Extra Brut by Guillaume Sergent is a rigorous Traditional Method sparkling wine that expresses the vocation of its terroir. Made from a careful blend of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir, it appears straw yellow with a fine and continuous perlage. On the nose, it reveals well-defined fruity aromas and pronounced mineral notes. On the palate, the Extra Brut style offers a very dry, fresh sip with a long-lasting finish.

Where it comes from

This wine comes from the renowned Champagne region, in an area classified as Premier Cru. Guillaume Sergent manages a small organic and sustainable estate, overseeing every stage of production to enhance the unique characteristics of the land. Through meticulous vinification, the producer highlights the identity of the original soil, emphasised by the exclusive use of black grape varieties for this Blanc de Noirs.

How it is produced

The entire production process follows the strict stages of the Traditional Method. During ageing, the use of new barrels is avoided, a technical choice aimed at preserving the wine's aromatic integrity and vibrant minerality. This limited-edition cuvée ensures a taut and clean drink. Thanks to its excellent freshness, it pairs perfectly with fish dishes, shellfish, and a selection of fresh cheeses.

History and Curiosities

Born from the passion of a young oenologist faithful to family tradition, this Champagne Premier Cru comes to life in a small organic estate of less than two hectares. Guillaume Sergent personally vinifies this Blanc de Noirs, blending Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. To enhance the authentic expression of the terroir and the vibrant mineral notes of this Extra Brut, no new wood is used. An artisanal and limited production that offers an extraordinarily fresh sip, enriched by a fine and persistent perlage.

From this winery
  • Start up year: 1842
This young oenologist takes over the family estate in 2009. It is actually a micro company because the vineyard does not even cover 2 hectares of which 70% is Pinot Meunier, 20% Chardonnaye and 10% Pinot Noir.

Previous generations have always chosen to rely on a cooperative for the entire process of wine production, since Guillaume's entry into the company, the wine-making process has been carried out within the company, producing a limited quantity every year, but always in slight growth. None new wood is used during processing so as not to alter the character of the wine.

Les Pres Dieu is the first cuvée made by Guillaume and worked in two wooden barrels. The production is only 615 bottles. The dosage of 4.5 g/l has been established; this allows the freshness of the sandy terroir of Vrigny to be maintained and the slight oxidation to be balanced. which gives this cuvée its complexity.
