Description
Type of wine
The Champagne Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Tethys Extra Brut by Guiborat enhances the purity of Chardonnay. Produced using the Traditional Method, it reveals a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet offers crisp aromas of citrus and white flowers, introducing a light and elegant palate, defined by notes of white fruit and a distinct saline finish.
Origin
This cuvée originates in Champagne, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, from a blend of grapes grown in the Grand Cru villages of Chouilly, Cramant, and Oiry. Belonging to this premier terroir for Chardonnay gives the wine a clean and mineral character.
How it is produced
The must ferments in steel with a seven-month rest on the lees, undergoing full malolactic fermentation. The assembly combines the base wines with carefully selected reserve wines. This is followed by twenty months of ageing on the lees in the bottle and a further six months of resting after disgorgement. This artisanal care bestows a perfect balance upon the Extra Brut category.
