Description
Organic still red wine from Sicily, 14% ABV, produced by Frank Cornelissen. Blend: 85% Nerello Mascalese, Alicante Bouschet, Minnella Bianca, Nerello Cappuccio, Uva Francesa, 2024 vintage. A wine born from the philosophy of a producer who believes in respecting nature and the terroir. The winery was founded in 2001, when Etna was still unknown as a wine-growing area. The vineyards are located in the northern valley of the active volcano Etna, in eastern Sicily. Destemming and light crushing, manual punching down, and soft pressing. Fermentation: starting with a "pied-de-cuve" of only indigenous yeasts with the skins for approximately 30 days. Aged in neutral fiberglass tanks.
