Description

What type of wine it is

Forlini Cappellini's Cinque Terre is a still white wine from Liguria that expresses the most authentic soul of its coastal territory. Made from Bosco, Albarola and Vermentino grapes, it is a proud representative of the renowned Cinque Terre appellation. To the eye, it presents a straw-yellow colour, embellished with slight golden highlights. On the palate, it offers a dry and fresh sip, in which the soft tones blend into a precise structural balance, outlining a harmonious and crystalline profile.

Where it comes from

This white wine originates from the steep terraces of Manarola, a symbol of the region's heroic viticulture. The vines grow in a rugged environment overlooking the sea, immersed in the typical Mediterranean climate. This particular geographical location gives the glass distinct briny notes, which translate into a gentle savouriness capable of supporting the drinkability. The deep link with the territory also emerges strongly on the nose, thanks to clear scents of Mediterranean maquis.

History and trivia

Born among the steep terraces of Manarola, Forlini Cappellini's 2024 Cinque Terre is a true testament to Ligurian heroic viticulture. This still white wine comes to life through ancient artisanal methods, skilfully combining the historical Albarola, Bosco and Vermentino varieties.

From this winery
A true symbol of heroic viticulture in the Cinque Terre, the Forlini Cappellini winery is a historic company with a traditional style. With little more than 1 hectare of vineyards available in the municipality of Manarola Germana Forlini and Alberto Cappellini, together with his son Giacomo, produce about 10 thousand bottles a year of absolute value, divided between the dry white and the wonderful passito Sciacchetrà. The wines produced are strongly linked to the agricultural tradition of Liguria, given the inaccessible position of the terraces overlooking the sea that prevents any mechanization, and also for the choice of the family Cappellini, who prefers the "normal and usual" work by hand. For this reason, Forlini Cappellini's wine stands out among a thousand others not only for the Mediterranean scents and flavours typical of the wines of the Cinque Terre but also, and above all, because it contains within itself the spirit of the men who make it.
