Description
Still red wine from Etna, Sicily, 13% ABV, produced by Federico Graziani. Blend of Nerello Cappuccio and Nerello Mascalese. 1.50L magnum, 2022 vintage. An Etna Rosso that expresses the power and elegance of the volcano, with careful vinification that enhances its unique characteristics. My vineyards are located on the slopes of Etna, between 600 and 1,200 meters above sea level on the north and northwest slopes. Aged 24 months in stainless steel. On the nose, it displays notes of fresh red berries, raspberry, and pomegranate, followed by citrus sensations of mandarin, sweet spices, and a hint of incense. Sensations of caper leaves and olives finish. Ruby red with brilliant, transparent highlights. On the palate, it is subtle and refined, with a light and lively tannic structure. The finish is complex and pleasant, decidedly complex.

For the past 2000 years, people here have been growing vineyards in small plots of land reclaimed from the mountain, living in symbiosis with the volcano and adapting to the power and unpredictability of its elements. This is slow and ancient work, carried out by hand with toil, passion, and respect. Read more
