Description
Rosso di Mezzo is the fruit of an atypical and very cool vintage: 2018. The vineyards used for this wine all lie in the village of Contrada Feudo di Mezzo and are those generally used for Profumo di Vulcano, which was not produced in this vintage, about half a hectare of land on the northern slopes of Mount Etna at 600 m. a.s.l. The altitude and north-facing position offer shelter from the strong Sirocco winds, resulting in a daily summer temperature range of around 28°C. These special conditions guarantee the grapes a longer ripening period, which enriches their flavour and complexity.
