Description
Profumo di Vulcano comes from a small vineyard dating back to the late 19th century, about half a hectare of land on the northern slopes of Mount Etna at 600 m. a.s.l., in Contrada Feudo di Mezzo, village of Passopisciaro, in the town of Castiglione di Sicilia. The altitude and north-facing position offer shelter from the strong Sirocco winds, resulting in a daily summer temperature range of around 28°C. These special conditions guarantee the grapes a longer ripening period, which enriches their flavour and complexity.
