Description

What kind of wine it is

Champagne Premier Cru Le Mont Chainqueux Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature by Elise Bougy expresses a taut and essential profile. This Blanc de Noirs is created from a meticulous blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. Crafted strictly according to the Traditional Method, it offers a precise and vibrant perlage. The absence of dosage defines a dry and direct taste, characterised by a marked mineral tension and a long persistence, ideal for accompanying shellfish dishes, lean fish and cheeses.

Where it comes from

This wine originates from Les Mesneux, in the Champagne region, in an area of excellence recognised as Premier Cru. The vineyards of the Le Mont Chainqueux cru benefit from a south-eastern exposure, which encourages harmonious ripening of the grapes. The deep chalky soils, combined with sand and clayey silt, give the palate its unmistakable verticality. Elise Bougy's agricultural management follows the principles of biodynamic conversion, aiming to restore biodiversity to faithfully reflect the energy of the land.

How it is produced

Vinification follows an artisanal approach, with fermentations entrusted exclusively to indigenous yeasts. This is followed by seven months of ageing in barrels, which enriches the wine's structure while preserving its aromatic clarity. To maintain the integrity of the fruit, the wine is produced without filtration or fining. The total absence of dosage defines the rigorous Brut Nature style, bringing to the glass a pure and decisive expression, free from added sugars.

History and Curiosities

Born in the chalky terroir of Les Mesneux, this Champagne Premier Cru embodies the purest essence of Elise Bougy's organic estate. From a commitment to biodiversity comes a handcrafted wine, the result of spontaneous fermentations and seven months of ageing in barrel, without any filtration. This Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature, made from Pinot Noir and Meunier grapes, stands out for its complete absence of added sugars. The result is a taut and essential sip, capable of releasing a vibrant mineral energy with a profound and authentic charm.
