Drouin is the name of a French family that for three generations has dedicated itself to the art of Calvados distillation, becoming a representative name of a historic art. The domaine was founded by its founder Christian Drouin, who in 1960 bought the Fiefs of Sainte-Anne in Lower Normandy, in the heart of the Auge, the home of the immortal protagonist of Norman ceremonies and banquets. The international fame that the calvados has gained in recent years is due to Christian Drouin's son, who became the owner of the company in 1989. His father's small estate in Gonneville-sur-Honfleur was transferred by Christian Drouin to a larger estate, giving it an old manor house, which he nicknamed "Domaine Coeur de Lion" and preserving the ancient and refined Normandy craft traditions in 17th century architecture.
