Description
What kind of wine it is
The Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Kaefferkopf by Domaine du Moulin de Dusenbach is an aromatic still white wine that enhances the varietal characteristics of the Gewürztraminer grape. In the glass, it shines with a yellow colour and vivid golden highlights. The nose is enveloped by a bouquet of exotic fruit, while on the palate the sip is full, harmonious and perfectly balanced. Its pronounced aromatic profile makes it an ideal companion for Asian cuisine and spicy dishes, blue or mature cheeses, and fruit-based desserts.
Where it comes from
This label originates from Alsatian vineyards located within the prestigious Alsace Grand Cru area, with particular reference to the renowned Kaefferkopf terroir. Production is entrusted to Domaine du Moulin de Dusenbach, an independent winery now managed by the Schwebel family. Covering forty hectares, the wine project aims to enhance the complexity of the terroir, delivering in the glass a clear and faithful interpretation of its place of origin.
How it is produced
Vinification begins with the manual harvesting of the grapes, followed by gentle pneumatic pressing of the whole bunches to ensure respectful extraction of the must. The low-temperature fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, thus preserving the fragrance of the varietal aromas. Finally, maturation on fine lees gives body and depth to the wine's structure. The result is a white wine with an impeccable technical profile, capable of combining great aromatic clarity with a velvety and enveloping sip.
