Description
Still red Lazio IGT, 14.5% ABV, produced by Famiglia Cotarella (Tenuta Montiano). 100% Merlot, 2022 vintage. A Merlot that expresses the excellence of Lazio, produced by a family that has dedicated itself to viticulture for generations. The grapes are hand-picked and brought to the cellar, where they are selected. Maceration on the skins for 15 days with numerous punching downs. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel. Malolactic fermentation takes place entirely in barriques. Aged for 9 months in new Allier and Troncais barriques. Notes of red fruit and sweet spices blend in perfect balance with the vanilla notes of the wood. The taste is rounded, harmonious, and pleasant, with a persistent finish and sweet tannins.
