Description
Still red wine from Tuscany IGT, 14% ABV, produced by Castello dei Rampolla. Blend: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Petit Verdot. 0.75L bottle, 2019 vintage. A wine that embodies the passion and dedication of the Di Napoli family, who have been producing wines of great character in the Conca d'Oro of Panzano since 1964. The bouquet plays on undergrowth tones, from jammy black berries to macerated flowers, from bark to roots, with clear references to Mediterranean scrub, dark spices, and mineral notes. Pigeon blood ruby in the glass. Austere on the palate, characterized by exuberant tannins and a decidedly almondy finish.
