Description
A still red from Tuscany, produced by Casanova di Neri, a historic winery in Montalcino. A Rosso di Montalcino DOC, 2023 vintage, representing the youngest and freshest expression of Sangiovese. The grapes, 100% Sangiovese, come from vineyards located in Montalcino. Vinification involves manual selection of the grapes, spontaneous fermentation without the use of added yeasts, and maceration supported by frequent punching down. The entire process takes place in conical stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature for 18 days. Aged for 17 months in barrels. It has a floral attack on the nose, with hints of geranium and wild rose, followed by sensations of red plum and green tobacco leaf. A beautifully transparent ruby color. The palate is full and fruity, with a finish of more almondy notes.
