‘The Muto family works only Greek grapes planted above the ancient sulphur mines in Tufo. Only five hectares of vines are personally tended by Angelo, who today represents the third generation in the vineyard. From here come Greco di Tufo wines among the most original and personal of the denomination. Torrefavale and Miniere encapsulate the soul of the place in the glass, vigorous and exuberant, driven in flavour and freshness, oriented towards rocky tones that in Miniere intensify into strong notes of sulphur. It knows how to tell its territory very well Miniere ‘16, an exciting Greco di Tufo, rich in flavour and charm. Sulphurous, unique, it offers ripe white fruit and tones of Mediterranean scrub; on the palate it is, to say the least, savoury, salty and vibrant, juicy and delicately tannic. Energetic and infinite closure. A Three Glasses to frame. Also tasting of broom and chamomile on a sulphurous background is the Greco di Tufo Torrefavale ‘16 with its remarkable savoury imprint on the finish’. Read more
