Description

Still white wine from Alto Adige DOC, 13% ABV, produced by Kaltern Caldaro. 100% Sauvignon, 0.75 L bottle, 2024 vintage. A Sauvignon Blanc that tells the story of a region and a winery that has cultivated this land with passion for over a century. The hilly vineyards, with south- and east-facing exposure, are located between 350 and 450 m above sea level. Harvesting of ripe and perfectly healthy grapes, destemming, cold maceration (10°C) for 8 hours, soft pressing, natural decantation, and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16-18°C. Maturation on the fine lees in steel tanks for 4 months. On the nose, fresh notes of elderberry and gooseberry combine with sensations of exotic fruit. Straw yellow. The palate is a mouthful of crisp fruit that dissolves into intense minerality; the long finish is a triumph of fruit.
