Description
Still red from the Riviera del Garda Classico DOC, Lombardy, 13% ABV, produced by Ca Maiol. 100% Groppello Gentile. 0.75 L bottle, 2022 vintage. A wine that celebrates Groppello, a native Garda grape variety, with a tribute to the dialectal roots of its magnificent land. The name Groviglio derives from Groppello. In the Brescia dialect, the word 'grop' means 'knot,' and the distinctive feature of Groppello is the shape of its distinctive bunch of grapes resembling a knot. Fine and elegant, it presents vibrant notes of wild strawberries balanced by nuances of jam and black pepper. Delicate ruby red color. A dynamic wine in which elegance and delicate flavors combine with the finesse and fragrance of red fruits.

Starting with a single farmhouse, over the decades it has expanded both in terms of structures and vineyards, thus expanding a unique offer for the denomination. We are in the Lugana area, a harmony of flavours and atmospheres that extends south of Lake Garda over a unique territory.
The calcareous soil, the result of a millennial process, and the typical lake climate contribute to making this an ideal place for growing vines. It is here that delicate white wines with an unmistakable freshness are born, wines that are genuine expressions of the territory in which they are born. Read more
