Description

Within the DOCG, the Rive indicate the steepest and best-exposed slopes of the hills. There are 43 in total and they represent true “crus”, capable of enhancing the steepest and most suitable vineyards as well as the different characteristics of the soils of the appellation. Campea, within the Riva of the same name, is a single 7-hectare vineyard where Bisol1542 is carrying out a modern but tradition-respecting viticulture project.

"My grandfather Desiderio and my father Antonio were always on the lookout for the best plots to purchase. Those were the steepest ones, and as such the hardest to cultivate, but their gradient and soil composition made them perfect for growing Glera grapes. It shows how long-sighted they were, and how important the quality of the final product was for them". (Gianluca Bisol)
