Description

This wine originates from grapes grown in the Uccellanda vineyard, cultivated solely with Chardonnay and situated on one of Franciacorta's sunniest and most luminous slopes. From here, it is possible to admire the morainic basin of Lake Iseo, which is mainly responsible for the distinctive character of this land within the panorama of Italian wines. We are located in the town of Cortefranca, in the village of Nigoline, at an average altitude of 300 metres above sea level. A distinctive climatic factor in delineating pure, elegant wines and deeply expressive of the breath of nature surrounding them.

A deep love has always bound Vittorio Moretti to the land. The never-quenched memory of carefree childhood summers, spent in his maternal grandparents' countryside, resurfaced with impetus many years later, when he decided to "do agriculture" and discover himself as a winegrower. His determination let his intuition take shape. A thought and an action that feed off each other, turning into an unstoppable crescendo. Thus Bellavista was born, in the heart of Franciacorta.

In the beginning it was just a few hectares, a family house and adjacent wine cellar, with the desire to make good wine to share with friends. But the power of the dream is overwhelming, fuelled by Vittorio Moretti's innate inclination to achieve perfection in all his work. Trips to France are decisive, there one breathes a new air, learns from the great masters, discovers places and people whose existence revolves around wine.
