Description

What kind of wine it is

Bel Colle Barolo Bussia is a red wine from Piedmont that offers an authentic expression of the Nebbiolo grape variety. It displays a bright ruby red colour, enriched with garnet reflections. On the nose, it reveals aromas of raspberry and morello cherry, accompanied by floral notes of rose and violet, along with hints of cinnamon and tobacco leaf. On the palate, it is powerful and concentrated, supported by lively acidity and elegant, dense tannins. This solid structure ensures a very persistent tasting experience, finishing with a long and clean aftertaste.

Where it comes from

This Barolo originates in Piedmont, in the municipality of Verduno, on the slopes between Alba and La Morra. Bel Colle manages the vineyards according to the principles of responsible agriculture, with constant attention to the balance of the land. The area's microclimate allows the Nebbiolo grapes to ripen, expressing great complexity and finesse. The deep connection with the local environment produces a wine of substance, faithfully reflecting the identity of the Barolo hills. The strength of the raw material also guarantees remarkable longevity, allowing the wine to evolve beautifully over time.

How it is produced

The production process aims to enhance the distinctive characteristics of the harvest. Maturation takes place in large oak barrels, a vital step to encourage aromatic development and impart subtle spicy notes. This is followed by targeted bottle ageing, essential for balancing the lively acidity and integrating the robust tannic structure. At the table, this red pairs naturally with red meat dishes, game, and mature cheeses. To appreciate every detail of its broad and enveloping profile, it is advisable to let it decant carefully before serving.
