Description

An extra brut white from Lombardy, Franciacorta DOCG, produced by Antica Fratta. Blend: 80% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir. 0.75-liter bottle, 2015 vintage. A Franciacorta Riserva that celebrates the excellence of Italian sparkling wine, with over 60 months of aging on the lees. Fratta is the name that appears on the ancient Napoleonic land registry maps of this small hamlet, located in the municipality of Monticelli Brusati. The name is rooted in the rugged glacial and alluvial mountains that rise from the morainic hills of Franciacorta. Harvest: mid-August to early September. Very fine and persistent perlage, with a creamy foam. Ample, elegant, with great finesse and evolution, with notes of dried and tropical fruit that blend in an explosion of fragrance. Rich and fresh on the palate, with great personality and a long finish.
