Description
Still red from South Africa, produced by Anthonij Rupert. Blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Cabernet Franc, 27% Merlot, 3% Malbec. Vintage 2020. Anthonij Rupert Wyne was founded on the L'Ormarins estate in Franschhoek. The wine was dry-fermented on the skins in multiple fermentation tanks and underwent extended post-fermentation maceration. The wine was finally aged in 225-liter French oak barrels for 20 months, with 30% new oak. On the nose, plum and hedgerow fruit emerge, with an inviting scent of dried lavender. On the palate, the wine presents itself with confidence. Elegant yet succulent, with a rich, spicy woodsy finish and the same lavender notes as the nose.
