Description
A still red wine from South Africa, 14.5% ABV, produced by Anthonij Rupert. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 vintage. A Cabernet Sauvignon that embodies the elegance and sophistication of the South African terroir. Blackcurrant and cassis leaves vie for the top spot in the bouquet, complemented by a heady scent of violets. The palate is elegant and smooth, with understated elegance as the watchword. The flavors of perfectly ripe fruit tart are found alongside cassis and blackberry, cedar spice, and a deliciously subtle succulence that contributes to the warm and comforting texture. Aged for 24 months in 80% new French oak and then in bottle for an additional 24 months.
