Description

What kind of wine it is

The Champagne Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Terroirs Extra Brut by Agrapart enhances the purity of Chardonnay. Crafted using the Traditional Method, it displays a straw yellow hue with golden highlights, releasing delicate floral aromas and citrus notes. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and harmonious, enriched by a fine perlage that makes it ideal for pairing with sushi, shellfish and soft cheeses.

Where it comes from

The grapes come from the renowned Côte des Blancs, from the Grand Cru vineyards of Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry. Agrapart operates as an independent winegrower following organic and sustainable methods. The vines, around thirty-five years old, sink their roots into a deep chalky soil. This geological matrix shapes the Chardonnay, giving the wine's structure an elegant and persistent freshness.

How it is produced

The vinification involves a careful blend of vintages, followed by the prise de mousse according to the Traditional Method. The choice of a limited Extra Brut dosage reduces the perception of sweetness in favour of a clean and linear finish. This production process ensures perfect taste harmony and an ageing potential that can extend between five and ten years.

History and Curiosities

A historic company founded in 1894 in Avize, Agrapart embodies the true vocation of the Côte des Blancs. From vines around 35 years old, grown on chalky soils, comes this Grand Cru Champagne, a pure organic and sustainable Chardonnay matured according to the traditional method. The elegant blend of several vintages releases refined floral and citrus aromas, enhanced by a fine perlage. On the palate, this Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut reveals itself as fresh and harmonious, ideal for enhancing sushi and exquisite seafood dishes, confirming its excellent international ratings.

Company founded in 1894 in Avize, in the heart of the Côtes des Blancs, by Arthur Agrapart. The Agrapart company is located in Avize and its vineyards, which cover 9.75 hectares, mainly in Oger, Cramant, Oiry and Avize (all Grand Crus of the Côtes des Blancs).

This geographical situation, in the heart of Champagne and in the villages classified as "Grand Cru" is exceptional. The chalky soil, specific to the Côte des Blancs, creates the ideal conditions for the Chardonnay vineyard and brings freshness and elegance to the wine. Composed of 62 plots (some are over 60 years old), the average age of the Agrapart vineyards is around 35 years.
