The winery Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara is a winery deeply linked to the Tuscan territory and that looks to quality. It is located a few kilometers from San Gimignano, on the Sienese hills, and is the result of a project of the Logi family built in 2000. The brothers Alessio, Stefano and Giampiero manage the winery and have been able to put into practice the teachings of their father Mario. farmer and winemaker since forever.
The vineyard of Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara extends for 20 hectares at an altitude ranging from 350 to 390 meters above sea level. Only indigenous spurred cordon vines are cultivated with organic certification. The land on which the implanted vines grow are different: we pass from clayey marls to soils rich in tufaceous skeleton. The oldest vines reach 30 years of age. The production of the winery Il Colombaio di Santa Chiara is based on the idea that the wine produces the territory and that in the cellar it can only be improved. The careful care of the vineyard and a meticulous selection of the grapes are the secret of the quality of the wines of this winery. In fact they have a unique and genuine character: they present intense and complex aromas and a remarkable structure.
