A hystory of men, of the land, of a great passion. A passion for the drink that from Dionisus and Bacchus, and slowly through the centuries has come to us; a drink passed down from the gods to men; an excellent drink.
And, having had the ambition to produce it, our purpose could only be directed towards excellence.

As in many love stories, it was love at first sight; for a land that was discovered almost by chance. Land that has a river flowing through it between the ruins of a fort and a dam, mark of ancient adventures.

To men who have passed through, that same Mother Nature always asked respect of her creation, and it was always given; we also guarantee it, out of dutiful homage to her generosity. Tuscan land with rolling hills and sudden slopes, moulded from a clayey, limestone, pebbly soil. An excellent microclimate. An ideal dwelling place for Sangiovese, Cabernet and Syrah.

The extraordinary nature of the land supported by the sensitivity, the experience and technical knowledge: these are the distinct characters of our excellence. Fortediga, the ripe fruit of men's passion: robust, swollen, sweet, like a cluster of juicy grapes.
