Domaine de Carbonnieu

In the heart of the famous vineyards of Sauturnes, the Domaine de Carbonnieu is positioned at the edge of the river Ciron in Bommes. This company passed down from father to son since 1782 has grown over time, acquiring small plots in each generation. Today its 20 acres are divided into common and Bommes and Preignac.

The owner Alain Charrier says that without the Ciron might not do the Saturnes. In the autumn the river generates the morning mist that stimulates the presence of botrytis, a noble rot, which facilitates the natural concentration of sugar.
