Collalto

The Collalto winery has been in the Marca Trevigiana for more than a millennium, with vineyards that extend around the Castello di San Salvatore, on the banks of the Piave river. The castle, overlooking the town of Susegana, is the symbol of the noble family of the Collalto and its history. In the immediate vicinity of the renowned Conegliano-Valdobbiadene, Collalto stands out for the production of Prosecco that reaches undisputed top-quality standards and is characterized by harmony, elegance and refinement, the result of careful attention to detail and the continuous pursuit of excellence.
Collalto, however, wanted to enhance even those less known native vines that are part of the history of the territory: the Wildbacher, a grape of Austrian origin, and the vines resulting from the studies conducted between the '20s and' 30s by the professor Luigi Manzoni, famous researcher-ampelographer : Manzoni Bianco 6.0.13 (crossing of Riesling Renano and Pinot Bianco), Manzoni Rosso 2.15 (Cabernet Sauvignon x Glera), Manzoni Rosa (Trebbiano x Gewurztraminer) and Manzoni 13.0.25 (Raboso Piave x Moscato d'Amburgo ).
