Description

What kind of wine it is

Vincent Pinard Sancerre Flores is an organic still white wine that elegantly expresses the character of the Loire. Made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes, it stands out in the glass for its bright straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is intense and fragrant, with hints of white flowers and notes of yellow-fleshed fruit. On the palate, the tasting reveals a fresh sip, enhanced by a pronounced mineral note and a pleasant savouriness that give the wine an extraordinary drinkability. This linear and balanced flavour profile makes it perfect for pairing with lean fish dishes, white meats, and a refined selection of cheeses.

Where it comes from

This Sancerre originates in the commune of Bué, within the Loire region. The vineyards are rooted in clay-limestone and siliceous soils, key factors in giving the wine its precise territorial identity. Vincent Pinard follows a strict organic and sustainable management of his hectares, applying a natural agricultural philosophy with minimal intervention. The vines are trained using the Guyot method, excluding the use of herbicides or synthetic insecticides. Constant attention in the vineyard results in a strictly limited yield, a necessary condition to ensure the highest quality of every bunch.

How it is produced

Vinification begins with a meticulous manual harvest, followed by a rigorous selection of the bunches. In the winery, the grapes undergo gentle pneumatic pressing to preserve the purity of the must. Fermentation takes place in tanks and the wine continues its journey with careful ageing on the lees, essential for giving structure to the body and precision to the palate, while maintaining the varietal aromas of Sauvignon Blanc. Thanks to this careful oenological approach, the wine shows promising longevity, evolving elegantly over time.

Domaine Vincent Pinard is located in Bué, at the heart of the Sancerre region. Our way of working at this century-old family estate is very traditional. Our work philosophy takes a natural, organic approach and respects the terroirs and consequently the environment.

The estate is 17 hectares are mainly located on the hills of Bué, a famed winegrowing village that boasts limestone and clay-limestone terroirs, We do not use any herbicides, insecticides or anti-rot treatments, etc. Most of the work in the vineyards is done by hand (including harvesting). We have chosen to limit yields and produce small quantities of grapes (few grapes per vine stock). In order to do so, we prune short, disbud and thin the clusters (green harvest). The grapes are handpicked and we select the finest grapes at the sorting table.

We intervene as little as possible. Everything depends on grape selection. If the fruit is healthly there is no need to use artificial products during the vinification process. Depending on the curvée, we work with tanks, wooden vats or 228-litre and 600-litre barrels.
