Description
What kind of wine it is
Tuzko Traminer is an aromatic white wine of vibrant elegance. Made from Gewürztraminer grapes, it boasts a fresh, balanced profile with remarkable persistence. In the glass, it releases an intense bouquet of tropical fruit, with hints of lychee and apricot blending with citrus notes of mandarin and grapefruit. On the palate, delicate hints of rose petals combine with a clear savouriness, leading the tasting towards a captivating smoky finish that enriches its structure.
Where it comes from
This Gewürztraminer originates in Hungary, among the renowned hills of Tolna, south of Budapest. The vines thrive in the areas of Bátaapáti and Mőcsény, regions that offer ideal conditions for developing freshness and aromatic precision. The Tuzko Birtok estate, founded in 1799, represents a vital part of the country's winemaking history, linked to the legacy of the Counts Apponyi. Under the guidance of the Antinori family, the company enhances the unique characteristics of the hilly soil, ensuring excellent varietal recognisability and perfect flavour balance.
How it is produced
Care for the product begins with the manual harvesting of the bunches, which are quickly transported to the winery to protect their aromatic integrity. After gentle pressing, the process includes a short maceration on the skins, aimed at extracting essential oils and aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures, using oxygen-free vinification to keep the musts pure and refined. Ageing, carried out exclusively in steel, preserves the wine's identity intact, making it ideal to accompany sushi, fresh cheeses and spiced white meats.
