Description
What kind of wine it is
Pietragrande by Tenute Lunelli is a still white wine, a refined expression of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti region. The result of a carefully crafted blend combining Chardonnay with Incrocio Manzoni, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon Blanc, it stands out for its bright yellow colour. On the nose, it offers a fruity bouquet, where notes of white flowers alternate with hints of white-fleshed fruit and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is enveloping, supported by a lively mineral freshness. Pleasant citrus notes accompany a savoury and elegant finish, making each sip balanced and persistent.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced at Tenuta Margon, in Ravina, in the heart of Trentino Alto Adige, following the principles of sustainable mountain viticulture. The vines take root in soils rich in stones and sand, characteristics that give the glass a distinctive clarity of flavour. The vineyards, cultivated using the simple Trentino pergola and Guyot systems, benefit from an alpine climate that encourages perfect ripening of the grapes, preserving their integrity and distinctive aromatic profile.
How it is produced
The production process aims to maximise varietal and regional expression. The grapes ferment in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Afterwards, the wine matures for at least six months in the cellar, an essential phase to harmonise the different components and define the precision of the sip. Capable of positive evolution over time, it boasts good longevity. To fully appreciate its nuances, it is recommended to serve at an ideal temperature between ten and twelve degrees.
History and Curiosities

Villa Margon, which takes its name from the splendid sixteenth century complex where the Lunelli Group entertains its guests, and Pietragrande, the most recently launched of the Trentino wines, are expressions of Chardonnay and of the family’s long experience with this variety. Maso Montalto, which comes from one of the family’s historic vineyards, overlooked by a wall of rock over a thousand metres high, is a perfect example of the elegance of Pinot Nero grown at high altitude.
