Description
What kind of wine it is
Tenuta Ulisse Pecorino Premium is a white wine produced by Tenuta Ulisse in the Terre di Chieti area. Made from Pecorino grapes, it displays a straw yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, it reveals clear aromas of pineapple and white peach, enhanced by notes of sage and delicate citrus hints. On the palate, it offers a medium body, rich and rounded, delivering a harmonious sip. Its moderate freshness is complemented by hints of green apple and pear, characteristics that make it ideal for pairing with seafood, white meats and goat’s cheeses.
Where it comes from
The vineyards stretch across the provinces of Chieti, L’Aquila, Pescara and Teramo, in the heart of Abruzzo. The Tenuta Ulisse winery, located in Crecchio, pays particular attention to enhancing local native grape varieties. The vines thrive thanks to a favourable microclimate, essential for the optimal aromatic development of the grapes. These particular environmental conditions give the wine remarkable expressive clarity. The result is a genuine expression of territorial identity, capable of bringing the authentic character of the Abruzzo landscape to the glass.
How it is produced
The production process begins with the cryo-selection of the grapes, followed by rapid cooling and cryomaceration of the skins to encourage the extraction of aromas. After destemming and crushing in a protected environment, the must undergoes a slow fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. Maturation continues in the same material for about three months, before finishing with a period of rest in the bottle. This method preserves the integrity of the fruit and ensures optimal preservation of its organoleptic properties.
