Description
What kind of wine is it
Nozze d’Oro by Tasca d’Almerita is a Sicilian white wine from the Contea di Sclafani area. This blend harmonises the structure of Inzolia with the finesse of Sauvignon. Aged on fine lees in stainless steel, it reveals remarkable ageing potential. The bouquet offers notes of apple, peach and honey, intertwined with hints of citrus, white flowers and mineral nuances. On the palate, it is fruity, supported by a pronounced acidic freshness that leads to a satisfying finish of ripe yellow fruit.
Where does it come from
The grapes are grown in the vineyards of the Regaleali Estate, located in the hilly Palermo area within the Contea di Sclafani. The continental climate of the inland, combined with excellent sun exposure, promotes full ripening of the bunches. Inzolia grows at five hundred metres altitude on clay and limestone soils, while Sauvignon is cultivated up to seven hundred metres on sandy soils rich in a saline layer. The espalier training system optimises vegetative development, giving this wine a distinct aromatic precision and a solid structure.
How is it produced
The harvest takes place between the end of August and September, with the varieties picked separately. The low-temperature fermentation lasts about fifteen days in stainless steel tanks, preserving the integrity of the fruit. Afterwards, the wine matures on fine lees and rests for several months in the bottle before release. This process yields a white wine with pronounced aromatic complexity, characterised by elegant longevity, ideal for accompanying vegetable-based dishes and assorted cheeses.

The Tasca family is internationally recognized for its pioneering role in modern Sicilian winemaking. Since 2001, Tasca d’Almerita has pursued a project focused on enhancing native grape varieties in the island’s most vocated territories. Alongside Regaleali—the historic estate spanning approximately 500 hectares—new estates have been added: Capofaro on the island of Salina, Tascante on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, Whitaker on the island of Mozia, and Sallier de La Tour in the Monreale DOC.
In 2019, Tasca d’Almerita was named "European Winery of the Year" by Wine Enthusiast magazine. In 2021, it became one of only 24 wineries worldwide to be awarded the prestigious "Green Emblem" for sustainability by Robert Parker – Wine Advocate. Since March 2023, already a Benefit Corporation, it has earned the esteemed international B Corp certification, joining a select group of companies committed to the highest standards of social and environmental sustainability. In 2025, Tasca d’Almerita received the "Historic Brand" recognition and was officially registered in the Special Register of Historic Brands of National Interest by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy.
