Description
What kind of wine it is
Le Rive di Suavia is a still organic white wine made from Garganega grapes, an authentic expression of Bianco Veronese. This wine stands out for its dense structure, supported by a pronounced minerality that imparts freshness and verve, culminating in a savoury finish. The aromatic profile ranges from tropical fruit to candied citrus, enriched by sweet spices such as star anise and cardamom. The bouquet is enhanced by elegant smoky notes reminiscent of vanilla tobacco and incense.
Where it comes from
This wine originates in Fittà, on the hills of Soave Classico, in a historic site known as Riva. This term refers to the extremely steep nature of the terrain, facing south at two hundred and sixty metres above sea level. The old vines, eighty years of age, sink their roots into volcanic soil with a clay-silt texture. This unique geological composition gives the palate a mineral and vibrant character. The family-run winery, established since the 1800s, devotes meticulous care to the in-depth study of this distinctive terroir.
How it is produced
Production begins with a late manual harvest that takes place at the end of October. Alcoholic fermentation occurs in large oak barrels for twenty days, followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation in small barrels. The wine rests for fifteen months between wood and steel in close contact with the fine lees, with no racking at all. Afterwards, the liquid remains in steel for a further fifteen months. A single filtration precedes glass ageing lasting one year.
History and Curiosities
Born in Fittà, at the heart of the prestigious Soave Classico, Suavia Le Rive tells the story of the Tessari family's dedication, guardians of the land since the 1800s. This exceptional white wine takes its name from the steep volcanic slopes of the vineyard, where historic 80-year-old vines thrive. Now managed by three sisters following strict organic certification, the estate transforms the noble Garganega grape into pure elegance. A vintage that enchants the senses, consecrated by the world's elite critics with 95 points and the renowned Tre Bicchieri.

Our family has been living and cultivating the land since the nineteenth century in Fittà: a small rural village mounted like a precious stone on the hills of Soave Classico. The history of Suavia however began later, in 1982, when Giovanni and Rosetta (the father and mother), aware of the great potential of their area, decided to set up on their own and make their mark, crushing their grapes and making their own wine.
Today we three sisters, Meri, Valentina and Alessandra, carry on the family tradition and run the winery always working here in Fittà, where it all started. Read more
